It might not have an intel chip but the PowerMac G5 is still a very capable desktop, if you are considering buying one my advice would be to look out for the dual core 2.0 & 2.3 GHz models as these are 2 of the later models. If you want maximum power then you can’t beat the 2.5 GHz quad core G5 though these models tend to be harder to find. Like the G4 range of PowerMacs, the PowerMac G5s case is also easy to access so don’t be put off by models with small hard drives, you can always upgrade in the future.
